Derek Noppenberger is a leader in Booz Allen’s National Cyber Platform. He currently leads a team of more than 1,000 professionals providing advanced analysis, data analytics, and cyber security solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence community. Derek has over 25 years of experience as an engineer, program manager, and business leader across the telecommunications and national security industries.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Derek worked for Verizon Communications, where he served as chief of staff for the president of Verizon Global Networks, Inc. In this role, he directed the subsidiary’s executive management and performance assurance system, financial business management, and public affairs and communications. In Derek’s 8 years at Verizon, he also served in numerous engineering, project management, and leadership roles across network engineering, operations, and long-distance organizations.
He holds a master’s certificate in project management from The George Washington University, and he is a certified project management professional. In addition, Derek serves on the board of directors for AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter.
Derek has an M.S. in technology management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and School of Engineering and Applied Science and a B.S in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland.
